All MegaMart2 partners met in Västerås (Sweden) from 4th-6th April for the kick-off meeting of the project. Beyond getting to know each other, the global objectives of the meeting were the introduction to use-cases and baseline technologies of the project and setting up the plan for the next 6 months.
To this purpose, we had plenary meetings and parallel sessions to start working on the roadmap of every project work package.
The meeting also included visits to the labs of Swedish industry partners. We visited Bombardier and Volvo Construction where we saw a demo of their train control system and construction equipment, respectively. See us having some fun with Volvo’s excavators, loaders and haulers!

After all this hard work, we wrapped up the day with a dinner at the Johan Theofron Munktell Museum where Gunnar Widforss, our project coordinator, had a toast to celebrate the start of the project and its future success.
